Yellow Card has appointed Ross Everett, a former Group Financial Controller at UK digital bank Monzo, as its first Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO), as the stablecoin infrastructure company expands its operations beyond Africa.
“As stablecoin infrastructure moves from promise to scale, we need financial leadership that can keep pace. Ross has built that discipline before, and he’ll build it here,” said Chris Maurice, Co-Founder and CEO of Yellow card.
Everett will lead Yellow Card’s global finance function, overseeing financial strategy, planning, reporting, treasury, capital management and financial governance. Before Monzo, he held roles at Deutsche Bank, Barclays and KPMG.

The appointment comes about two years after Yellow Card’s previous major funding round. In October 2024, the company raised $33 million in Series C funding, taking its total equity financing to $85 million at the time.
Recently, it also raised a further $40 million in strategic funding. The company said the capital would support its expansion into Latin America and Asia-Pacific.
The creation of a Group CFO role comes as Yellow Card operates across more than 50 markets and builds its stablecoin infrastructure business for banks, fintechs and multinational companies. Its platform supports cross-border payments, dollar liquidity and treasury management.
