Rahul Jain co-founded Peach Payments in Cape Town in 2012 with an ambition to give African merchants modern online payment infrastructure. More than a decade later, Peach operates across South Africa, Kenya, Mauritius and Eswatini, while expanding its continental reach through acquisitions. In 2025, it agreed to acquire Senegal-based PayDunya, adding a major Francophone African payments platform to its network. Jain belongs on Borderless 100 because Peach is quietly assembling a payment gateway that can follow an African merchant as it expands across markets rather than forcing it to rebuild its payments stack country by country.
