CredPal, a Nigerian buy now, pay later (BNPL) startup, has launched Atom, an investment platform that will allow African investors to buy, hold and trade Nigerian stocks, digital assets and US securities.
Atom will operate alongside CredPal’s existing lending business, which the company says has disbursed more than $100 million in credit. CredPal declined to disclose how many customers have accessed credit through the platform.
Founded in 2018, CredPal allows customers to spread payments for purchases across four instalments. The startup joined Y Combinator in 2019 and last raised $15 million in debt and equity financing in 2022.
