Mainstack Returns as the Ticketing Platform for Africa’s Largest Tech Conference – Moonshot 2026 by TechCabal

Mainstack, the creator commerce platform, is returning as the ticketing service provider for Moonshot by TechCabal – Africa’s fastest-growing technology conference – for its fourth edition, happening October 28 and 29, 2026 at the National Theatre in Lagos, Nigeria.

The Moonshot & Mainstack History

Mainstack’s return as the ticketing platform for the event follows a successful run at the 2025 edition of Moonshot, which drew 6,000 attendees from 39 countries across six continents.

Since launching in 2023, Moonshot has brought together more than 12,650 participants from 44 countries, growing into one of the most significant annual gatherings in the global tech ecosystem.

For a conference operating at that scale, the ticketing experience carries real weight.

Thousands of attendees across multiple countries and currencies move through a single purchase funnel, and friction at that point shapes the event before it even begins.

“Mainstack will handle large volumes of stuff (transactions) without anything breaking. This year (2025 — when the interview was conducted), we processed payments in over 21 countries. Sometimes, I think about it and [I realize] we did not get any complaints.” Daniel Akpauta said in 2025 during an interview about Mainstack’s capabilities.

Akpauta pointed to Mainstack’s multi-currency support and analytics depth as standout features for a conference drawing an international audience.

The platform gave his team day-on-day revenue tracking, country-level breakdowns, and individual buyer data.

He also highlighted the team’s responsiveness. Features including group tickets and attendee perks, both requested by the Moonshot team, were built and shipped in under three weeks.

“The reassurance from the team and the fact that they were very committed to building stuff that worked in a short time was very important to me,” Akpauta said.

For Mainstack, the decision to return as a ticketing service provider reflects a deliberate focus on powering events that matter to the African ecosystem, events where knowledge is shared and events that drive the African economy forward on several fronts, including tech.

“Moonshot is where the ecosystem comes together and we think the experience of getting in should be as seamless as everything else that happens inside,” said Ayobami Oyaleke, CEO at Mainstack. “We’re proud to be back and to keep building infrastructure that works at this scale.”

What’s Next

Moonshot 2026 returns to Lagos with the conference’s economic footprint continuing to grow. Investors who have attended across its three editions have collectively raised and deployed over $5 billion, while startups on the Moonshot floor carry a combined estimated market valuation exceeding $15 billion.

The 2026 edition will anchor a week of African tech and investment programming, with side events and co-located activities running through the week of October 28.
Ticket details and programming announcements will follow in the weeks ahead. For updates, visit moonshot.techcabal.com.
