3C Coding School, an Egypt-based edtech startup, has secured $3 million in a seed round, its first outside institutional funding since it was founded over 10 years ago.

The round was led by MRG Economic Group, headed by Egyptian businessman Mahmoud Ramadan, with participation from investor Amr Saad and a group of strategic angel investors.

Most of the edtech deals in 2026 happened in the Egyptian startup market. This raise is the sector’s highest disclosed funding, second only to Enko Education’s $22m raise in the sector. The funding will go toward expanding into the Saudi Arabian market, strengthening the company’s technology infrastructure, and building out its AI-powered learning platform.

The platform analyses students’ learning patterns and progress, supports instructors, and adapts course content to each student’s pace and abilities. Saudi Arabia is a natural next stop: the kingdom has been pouring money into its digital economy and edtech sector as part of its broader push to diversify away from oil, making it one of the more attractive expansion markets for Arabic-language edtech players right now.

Founded in 2015 by Hossam Hosny and Ahmed Khallaf, 3C Coding School provides coding and technology education for children and young people, running programmes across web and mobile development, data science, AI, machine learning, game development, and cybersecurity. The platform has grown its user base to more than 120,000 students and posted a 230% surge in revenue over the years.

“The future of education will be personalised, intelligent, and deeply integrated with technology,” Khallaf said.
