Youverify runs a network of more than 20,000 field verification officers. They confirm physical addresses across Sub-Saharan Africa, usually inside 48 hours, by going to the building.
That sits alongside the software: identity documents matched to facial biometrics and cross-checked against over 300 local and international databases, plus AML screening and fraud monitoring for Nigerian commercial banks. Odegbami founded the company in 2017 with CTO Famous Ehichioya.
Odegbami spent a decade as a technology consultant to African banks, telecom operators and government agencies before starting the company. He studied Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Lagos, took an MBA at Warwick and a doctorate at the Paris School of Business.
