Co-Founder and CEO at Blockradar

About

Abdulfatai Suleiman is the co-founder and CEO of Blockradar, a Lagos-based non-custodial stablecoin wallet infrastructure provider that lets fintechs embed on-chain wallets without building blockchain engineering teams of their own. A blockchain and full-stack engineer, Suleiman was previously a senior engineer at Paystack — acquired by Stripe — and before Blockradar co-founded Lazerpay in 2021, described as Africa's first stablecoin payment gateway, which raised $1.1 million before closing. Founded in 2024, Blockradar has since processed more than $100 million in on-chain stablecoin transactions, issued over 40,000 wallets and serves more than 100 fintech clients across eight countries. The company is backed by Coinbase Ventures and 4DX Ventures, and won the Crypto Valley Global Conference 2025 pitch competition.

Blockradar's proposition is infrastructure-as-a-service for the stablecoin layer: it solves the last-mile problem that prevents most African fintechs from using on-chain rails — the complexity of key management, compliance, and blockchain node operations. Suleiman, who built his engineering credentials inside some of Africa's most significant fintech exits, is betting that the continent's next generation of payment companies will not build stablecoin infrastructure themselves any more than they build their own core banking systems.
