Yanmo Omorogbe is the co-founder and COO of Bamboo, the Lagos-based digital investment platform she built alongside Richmond Bassey to allow Africans to invest in US and Nigerian stocks from the continent. Based in Nigeria, Omorogbe leads the operations, licensing, and broker relationships that have allowed Bamboo to serve 2.3 million users across Nigeria, Ghana, and South Africa. Her work spans regulatory compliance, brokerage partnerships, and the day-to-day operations of a platform that processes investment transactions in fractional shares across more than 3,000 US-listed securities, with entry points as low as $10.
Omorogbe belongs on the Borderless 100 because democratising investment access at Bamboo's scale is as much an operational achievement as a technological one. The licensing and partnership infrastructure she has built is what allows ordinary Nigerians to buy global stocks legally and affordably — and as Bamboo expands into remittance and virtual USD cards across 15 African markets, her operational remit only grows more consequential.
