Yango Group, an international tech company best known for its ride-hailing service and headquartered in Dubai, has launched Yango Motors, its new automotive arm in Côte d’Ivoire. The move is aimed at supplying affordable vehicles while promoting growth in the country’s mobility sector and across the continent.
“Yango Motors is about more than vehicles—it is about making mobility easier, more accessible, and more sustainable for everyone in Côte d’Ivoire,” said Kadotien Alassane Soro, Country Head at Yango Côte d’Ivoire.
Côte d’Ivoire becomes the first market where Yango Motors is introduced. The official launch is scheduled to take place at the Abidjan Auto Show 2025 in Abidjan, the economic capital. Gracemobility, an electric vehicle (EV) distribution and leasing company, will also participate in the event, showcasing its electric vehicles and special offers.
The Ivorian automotive industry has been expanding, supported by a robust economy and government policies that favor new car sales over imports of used vehicles. In 2024, the market registered 24,633 new vehicles, with Japanese brands such as Suzuki and Toyota leading the way. With rising household purchasing power and fresh incentives for investment, the potential for growth in new vehicle sales remains strong.
Through its role as the official distributor for Chinese brands Bestune and Kaiyi, Yango Motors will bring affordable, reliable, and locally adapted vehicles to Côte d’Ivoire. The company plans to combine competitive pricing with financing options in partnership with local banks and leasing companies. In addition, customers will benefit from after-sales support and a steady supply of spare parts.
This new launch reflects Yango Group’s wider mission to expand beyond digital services by offering technology-driven solutions that empower both people and businesses across Africa.
