ToumAI, an AI-powered Software as a Service (SaaS) startup, has secured €1 million in pre-seed funding. The funding was led by Launch Africa and joined by Madica Ventures, Orange Ventures, Digital Africa, GO Ventures, and angel investor Bruno Akpaka, with support from BPI France. This investment will accelerate ToumAI’s global expansion, beginning with a focus on Africa’s diverse markets, and fuel the development of its personalised, adaptive, and sustainable Customer experience (CX) solutions.

Founded in June 2020 as a spin-off from AIOX Labs, ToumAI was started to redefine CX by addressing the challenges of multilingual, cultural, generational preferences and emotional complexity. Its AI-first solutions, under the HolistiCX suite, leverage a unique Compound AI architecture that optimizes performance with minimal computational requirements. By combining large open-source models with tailored proprietary models, ToumAI enhances voice-driven applications, improves IVR systems, and enables advanced churn detection. Its business model offers scalable APIs that can integrate data across departments for actionable insights to improve global customer relations, ensuring every touchpoint resonates on a personal level.

Building on successful expansion into Morocco, Senegal, and Malta in 2024, with Tunisia on the horizon, ToumAI has forged key partnerships with industry leaders like Orange and Attijariwafa Bank. The company’s work in AI and CX has earned recognition from prestigious programs such as the Intel Liftoff Award and Nvidia Inception.
