Prembly started because Ogungbe forgot his wallet. He was trying to buy something in Nigeria in 2019, had no cash and no cards, and got stuck on a question: he knew who he was — why could the merchant not know it too?
IdentityPass came out of that. Prembly is what it became: verification, compliance and security infrastructure running around two million verifications a month across Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Uganda, the UK and the US.
