Eche Emole

Eche Emole is the co-founder and CEO of Afropolitan, a venture-backed platform building digital infrastructure for African identity and belonging. Born in Nigeria and based across the United States, Emole has developed Afropolitan into a community spanning media, technology and advocacy, anchored by the belief that African identity should not be constrained by geography. Before Afropolitan, he worked in finance and consulted across the public and private sectors, applying frameworks drawn from political philosophy and economics to questions of mobility, citizenship and community for Africans worldwide.

Emole belongs on the Borderless 100 because he is attempting something architecturally different: building the cultural and institutional foundation for a globally distributed African community. Afropolitan has attracted investors and community members who see borderless identity not as a metaphor but as an operating model.
