About
Andrew Uaboi sits at one of the most important junctions in Africa's payments ecosystem. After two decades across Airtel, Diamond Bank and Visa, he rose from Visa's Nigeria country manager to leading its West Africa cluster. His role is less about building another fintech than providing the infrastructure on which fintechs build: cards, issuing, acceptance and money movement. That neutrality is strategically important. Companies including Kredete, Kulipa and Nuvion can use Visa's network without Visa needing to become their consumer competitor. Uaboi belongs on Borderless 100 because much of Africa's new financial infrastructure still ultimately runs through global payment rails.
