About
Victor Alade is building the financial infrastructure for Africans whose careers, clients and businesses no longer fit neatly inside one country. As co-founder and CEO of Raenest, Alade started with the problem he had experienced himself: getting paid while working with companies in the US and UK while operating from Lagos could be almost as difficult as getting the work. Raenest began with Geegpay, which gave freelancers and remote workers access to virtual accounts and global payment capabilities. It has since evolved into a broader financial platform serving individuals, startups and businesses, with multi-currency accounts, cards, payment tools and cross-border money management. In 2025, Geegpay and Raenest were unified under the Raenest brand. Today, the company says it has processed more than $2 billion across 15 million transactions and serves customers in 50+ countries.
