About

Adeola Adedewe is attacking one of migration's least visible financial penalties: the fact that your financial identity often stops at the border. As founder and CEO of Kredete, Adedewe built a platform that turns cross-border remittances into an opportunity to build credit, rather than simply a way to move money. For African immigrants, particularly those arriving in the US without established credit histories, Kredete connects international transfers with credit-building infrastructure, helping users become legible to financial institutions in their new countries. The company raised a $22 million Series A led by AfricInvest in 2025, taking total funding to $24.75 million.

Adedewe has pushed the idea further with Kredete's stablecoin-backed Visa card, launched with Visa, Stellar and Rain and designed for users across 41+ African countries. With more than 500,000 users, Kredete is building financial infrastructure around the premise that moving countries should not mean starting your financial life from zero.
